What to Do If You See a Network Error

Seeing a network error? Here's how to fix it.

Updated this week

A network error can happen for a few different reasons, and we know how frustrating that can be β€” especially when you're ready to work out.

This article walks you through the most common fixes. In most cases, the issue is resolved before you reach the final step.

What Is a Network Error?

A network error usually means the app is having trouble syncing with your account or loading content from our servers. You might see an error message, or your workouts might not load (sometimes showing a spinning wheel that won't stop).

This can happen after:

  • Purchasing a new workout plan

  • Switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data

  • A temporary app or connection interruption

Before You Begin

Make sure you're connected to stable Wi-Fi or cellular data. If you're at the gym with a weak signal, try moving closer to a router or switching to mobile data.

Step 1: Close and Reopen the App (Most Common Fix)

If you recently purchased a workout plan and see a network error when trying to open it, this step usually does the trick.

  1. Fully swipe out of the HHF app (don't just minimize it)

  2. Close any other apps running in the background

  3. Reopen the app

Reopening forces the app to re-sync your workout plans to your account, which often resolves the error immediately.

Step 2: Log Out and Log Back In

If restarting the app doesn't work, logging out refreshes your account session.

  1. Open the HHF app

  2. Log out of your account

  3. Log back in using your email and password

Once logged back in, try accessing your plan again.

Step 3: Restart Your Device

Sometimes a full restart clears things up.

  1. Turn your phone or tablet completely off

  2. Wait about 10 seconds

  3. Turn it back on and open the HHF app

Step 4: Delete and Reinstall the App

If the network error still appears, a clean reinstall can resolve cached or corrupted app data.

  1. Delete the HHF app from your device

  2. Reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play Store

  3. Log back into your account

Your workouts and purchases are saved to your account β€” you won't lose anything by reinstalling.
