Safety, Medical Guidelines, and Disclaimers

Important health and safety info before you start.

Your Safety is Our Highest Priority

Your safety is our highest priority at Hailey Happens Fitness (HHF).

We're here to support you in building strength, confidence, and long-term health - and part of that responsibility is being very clear about where fitness coaching ends and medical care begins. This isn't about being restrictive or unhelpful. It's about making sure you stay safe, supported, and set up for success.

Need help deciding if you should talk to your doctor first? See our practical guide: When to Talk to Your Doctor First

Your Safety Comes First

If you have an injury, a recent or upcoming surgery, or a medical condition, we're not able to give personalized plan recommendations or suggest specific exercise modifications.

That's not us being difficult - it's us staying in our lane so you stay safe.

Everybody is different, and when health considerations are involved, training decisions need to be based on a full, individual assessment that we simply can't provide remotely.

When Medical Clearance Is Required

You'll need guidance from a qualified medical professional before starting or continuing a program if you are dealing with:

  • A current injury or ongoing pain

  • Recent or upcoming surgery

  • A chronic medical condition or diagnosis

  • A medical diagnosis that affects movement, recovery, or training tolerance

  • A return to training after time away due to health reasons

For specific examples, red flags, and what to ask your doctor, see:[When to Talk to Your Doctor First

Why We Can't Provide Personalized Modifications

While we can offer general education about training principles, HHF cannot:

  • Prescribe or recommend specific programs based on injuries, surgery preparation or recovery, or medical conditions

  • Suggest exercise substitutions or modifications for rehabilitation or post-surgical recovery

Why? Because only your physician or physical therapist can:

  • Review your full medical history

  • Assess how you currently move

  • Understand where you are in the healing process

  • Determine what you're ready for and what you're not

That level of assessment is essential for safe progress, and it's not something we can or should attempt to replace.

The Role of Your Medical Team

Your doctor or physical therapist is best positioned to:

  • Clear you for strength training

  • Identify appropriate limitations or precautions

  • Suggest modifications that match your current capacity

  • Help you progress safely and confidently

Think of them as your gatekeepers to training - not barriers.

You're Asking the Right Questions

Here's the good news: Strength training and bone-loading work can be incredibly supportive for many conditions, diagnoses, and stages of life.

So if you're asking whether you can train, you're already on the right path.

The next step just isn't with us yet. It's getting personalized guidance and a clear green light from someone who can assess your specific situation properly.

How to Move Forward Safely

Once you’ve been advised to continue or return to training:

If you are new to HHF:

  • Download the HHF app

  • Review the sample plans available or join the Fit Happens Membership 10-day trial

  • Show the plan(s) you’re considering with your medical professional

If you are already using HHF workouts:

  • Show the plan(s) you’re following or considering with your medical professional

They can help you determine:

  • What works as written

  • What needs adjusting

  • How to move forward safely and confidently

This approach gives you clarity, confidence, and peace of mind before you begin.

We're Cheering You On

Your long-term health matters. Your safety matters. And wanting to do things the right way is something we fully support.

Until you've received clearance, we'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. And once you're ready - we'll be here to support you every step of the way.
